Today our school is walking to the local playground. We are estimating how to measure the distance.
We learnt that 1000 of these rulers touching each other will make 1 kilometre.

Tayla was the closest estimate. It was 2.8 km or 2 thousand and eight hundred metres to walk to the park and back. Tayla guessed it would be 1,000 metres or 1 kilometre.

Lily and Mandy's estimate was the closest to the actual distance walked. They were only 200 m out.
