Using 10 double sided counters we played a game to find all the combinations to make 10. We used reversibility and can see there are 11 different ways.

Group Rua Tekau:

Today we learnt about groups of or our times tables.
Our problem was counting the legs of three lambs. We could add 4 + 4 + 4 = 12 or repeated addition. Another was is to say three groups of 4 = 12
Or in a Maths way (using our symbols)
3 x 4 = 12.

Here our group is playing number muscle. This helps us make, say and record three digit numbers.
