Jujhar and Sonia wanted to practice using these cards at home.
Would anyone like to try this at home?
How can you work out the multiplication or times table fact?
Ie
2 groups of 6 is 12
Using the Maths symbols:
2 x 6 = 12
Draw the rectangle with this area.
2 squares by 6 squares.

I learnt 3x3=9 and 3 groups of 3 is 9. I now know that the x is the sign for 'groups of'. by Maddison
ReplyDeleteI love when we can see the link between the words and symbols in Mathematics. Remember Mathematicians often use symbols, they don't like writing much :-)
